Rochester Community Schools Board of Education Members take Oath of Office

The Honorable Julie A. Nicholson, Chief Judge of the 52nd District Court, swore in three Rochester Community School District Board of Education members during the regular meeting Monday evening.

Taking the oath of office were Sandra Fiaschetti, Ph.D., Kevin Beers, and Michelle Bueltel. Fiaschetti and Beers are returning members with six-year terms. Bueltel will serve a two-year partial term to finish out the incumbency period of a previous member who had resigned.

“I am a parent of two RCS graduates and three more RCS students and our family believes you give back to something that has given you so much,” said Fiaschetti. “It is truly an honor to serve on the board with such a dedicated group of professionals.”

“I am honored to be a part of such a high-functioning team,” said Beers, a former teacher. “Knowing that we, as a board, in cooperation with parents, teachers, and administrators, have an opportunity to positively impact the lives of our students is at once humbling and energizing.”

“I’m excited to have the opportunity to serve the Rochester community as a School Board member,” said Bueltel via social media following the November election. “I’m honored that the voters selected me to fill this important role, and I look forward to working with the rest of the board, the administration, the district’s employees, and our families to continue to make Rochester Community Schools a premier school district.”

The election of officers took place at the same meeting. Board members and terms of office are as follows: President Sandra Fiaschetti (2022), Vice President Kristin Bull (2020), Treasurer Mike Zabat (2020), Secretary Beth Talbert (2018), Trustee Kevin Beers (2022), Trustee Pat Piskulich (2018), and Trustee Michelle Bueltel (2018).
