The Boston Marathon is not for the faint of heart, especially two years after the bombings.
A shining moment came when Desiree Linden, a California native who now lives in Rochester Hills and trains with the Hanson-Brooks Team, finished as the top American woman in the marathon and took fourth place overall with a time of 2 hours, 25 minutes and 39 seconds.
