Rochester Hills Fire Department Hosts Open House

You’re Invited

On October 2, the public is invited to visit any of Rochester Hills five fire stations from noon to 3:00 p.m.

All of the stations will have tours, an opportunity to meet firefighters, and watch fire demonstrations. Fire Station #1, located at 1111 Horizon Ct will serve as the main station for the open house and will feature a live burn demonstration.

“For the first time, residents will have the opportunity to see all the new features that have been added since the fire millage was strongly supported in 2014,” states Mayor Bryan K. Barnett. “We are excited to invite our residents out for a fun filled and hands on event.”

The Fire Department Open House is one of many events in Rochester Hills that recognizes National Fire Prevention Week. This year’s Fire Prevention Week campaign, “Don’t Wait – Check the Date! Replace Smoke Alarms Every 10 Years,” focuses on educating the public about basic but essential elements of smoke alarm safety.

Residents that would like a free smoke alarm installed in their home by the fire department should contact Fire & Life Safety Educator Nancy Butty by email at buttyn@rochesterhills.org or by phone at 248.841.2705 to schedule an appointment.

The locations of the stations are as follows:

  • Station No. 1 (Department Headquarters) 1111 Horizon Ct.
  • Station No. 2 1251 E. Auburn
  • Station No. 3 2137 W. Auburn
  • Station No. 4 2723 Walton Blvd
  • Station No. 5 251 E. Tienken
