Rochester Hills Hosts 29th Annual Bass Tournament

Rochester Hills, Michigan – In honor of Michigan’s Free Fishing Weekend, the City of Rochester Hills will host their 29th Annual Spencer Park Bass Tournament on Sunday, June 12, 2011.  Sponsored by American Bass Outlet, contestants can compete in several categories, including a Casting Contest for contestants 12 and under.  The first 50 Contestants 12 & under will receive a Bass Tournament t-shirt.  Prizes for each category are awarded after the event.  After the Tournament, contestants are encouraged to stay and enjoy all of the amenities of Spencer Park, including a lifeguarded beach, large picnic area and full service concession stand.

Spencer Park is located at 3701 John R. Rd in Rochester Hills, just north of M-59.  Tournament registration is open from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm, with the Tournament beginning at 11:00 am.  The Tournament is open to all ages and skill levels.

Tournament entry is free to Annual Park Permit holders, all other contestants are responsible for the park vehicle entry fee.  The Tournament is held on Michigan’s Free Fishing Weekend, so fishing licenses are not required.  All other DNR regulations still apply.  Contestants will need to bring their own fishing equipment.
