City Shares Tips and Tricks to Protect Your Plants from Deer
The City of Rochester Hills will be hosting a “Gardening and Landscaping with Deer” seminar on June 21 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall Auditorium. Participants will learn techniques for managing gardens to minimize the impacts of deer.
“We have many tips to share to keep your yard from becoming a critter snack,” states Rochester Hills Naturalist, Lance DeVoe. “Guests will walk away with the latest deer management information so they can create their own multi-facet approach at home.”
Topics include what plants are deer resistant and what repellents and barriers help keep deer from eating your garden.
The event is a partnership between the Deer Management Advisory Committee (DMAC), the Parks and Natural Resources Department, and Bordine’s of Rochester Hills.
The event is free, but registration is required. Rochester Hills City Hall is located at 1000 Rochester Hills Drive.
