The Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm will be presenting their holiday exhibit, Get on Board!: A Model Train Exhibit in November and December. The exhibit opens on Friday, November 27th in the newly completed Calf Barn at the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm.

The trains will be running on from 1 – 4 p.m. on:

  • November 27 & 28
  • December 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19
  • January 2 – will be the last day of the exhibit
  • Family Day Special: December 26 & 27 – $8 for the entire family

The cost is $5 for adults, $3 for students and $3 for senior citizens.

Guests will be able to view this fantastic display created by the Stoney Creek Model Railroad Club and to learn about one of the greatest hobbies in the world while using their imaginations to travel the old-fashioned way and see the country and its splendor. “We are so excited to welcome back the Stoney Creek Model Railroad Club to the museum and to have them use our spacious building for their displays. Our guests will be amazed and entertained” says Michele Dunham, Museum Program Coordinator. These HO gauge trains travel high and low past countryside and cities, over bridges and through tunnels, with each module telling a different story with great care and attention paid to detail – in miniature.  A camera on the engine shows the “engine’s eye view” of the trip!

The Rochester Hills Museum is located at 1005 Van Hoosen Road, off Tienken between Rochester and Dequindre Roads.

The Rochester Hills Museum is a 16 acre complex listed on the National Register of Historic Places. For questions visit www.RochesterHills.org/museum or call 248.656.4663.
