Rochester Hills Open Virtually and By Appointment

In accordance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services’ New Emergency Order, the Rochester Hills City Hall, the Rochester Hills Department of Public Services Building, and the Rochester Hills Museum on Van Hoosen Farm will be closed to the public effective November 18, 2020 through January 3, 2021. City Hall will reopen on January 4, 2021.

Offices will be minimally staffed. However, if a matter requires you to meet with an employee, you may call City Hall to set up an appointment at 248-656-4664. Community members can also conduct city business online, via phone and through the City’s drop box in front of City Hall. Residents are encouraged to use the City’s website payment portal option for making payments and reporting concerns. 

To minimize the public’s and our employees’ exposure to the coronavirus, all indoor Parks & Museum classes and programs are canceled or postponed effective November 18, 2020 through December 8, 2020. Outdoor events and programs are still occurring as allowed under the current Emergency Order.  All city parks will also remain open to the public during this time.

The Clerk’s Office has suspended Passport Application Acceptance Services.  All birth and death records can be applied for online.

Oakland County Sheriff’s Office deputies, the Rochester Hills Fire Department and Rochester Hills Department of Public Services will continue to respond to calls. In the event of an emergency, continue to call 9-1-1.

City Council meetings will continue as scheduled. As always, residents will be able to view our City Council meetings online or via RHTV. News about the City’s meetings and events will be available on www.rochesterhills.org. 

Throughout the past nine months, Rochester Hills has proactively taken steps to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) throughout the city, including providing 15,000 face masks to residents throughout the community, senior wellness calls to thousands of residents, new resolutions to support local businesses, rescheduling major public events and moving many meetings online.
