FIRE CHIEF/EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT DIRECTOR — $91,193-$95,993; plus excellent benefits. Plans, organizes, directs and implements fire prevention, fire suppression and emergency medical programs and services for a combination full-time/paid-on-call department. Also directs City’s internal telecommunication functions and oversees local emergency management operations. Requires: Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Science, Fire Administration, Emergency Management, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field, and ten years of directly related experience; or Master’s Degree and five years of directly related experience; Michigan Fire Fighters Training Council certifications, including Fire Fighter II, Company Officer II (or equivalent), Hazardous Materials Operations; NIMS, CPR, AED and EMT certifications; valid driver’s license and one-year move-in residency.
