Rochester Hills Public Library Awarded CARES Act Grant from the Library of Michigan

The Rochester Hills Public Library (RHPL) is pleased to announce it has been awarded a CARES Act Grant from the Library of Michigan. The grant will provide $500 for RHPL’s main library and $300 for each RHPL bookmobile to acquire personal protective equipment or cleaning supplies. The library will receive an extra $5,000 for added technology that increases patrons’ connectivity to the internet.

“The Rochester Hills Public Library provides Internet access to thousands of cardholders who would otherwise not be able to connect online to create a résumé, fill out job applications, or read their email,” said Juliane Morian, Library Director. “Libraries are resilience builders and we are grateful to continue helping our patrons get online. Additional protective equipment and cleaning supplies will help us support a safer community environment for all.”
