As Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to impact communities in the State of Michigan, the Rochester Hills Public Library is taking steps to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. The library remains open with normal hours of operation. However, in keeping with recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the State of Michigan, and the Oakland County Health Division, and out of an abundance of caution, effective March 12, the Rochester Hills Public Library has canceled all library and community events (programs, classes, meetings, workshops, concerts, etc.) scheduled through March 31, 2020.
The Rochester Hills Public Library is taking decisive, informed action to limit the spread of COVID-19 while ensuring the continuity of its mission to provide resources to inform, educate, and entertain people in the community. Library patrons are encouraged to visit rhpl.org to discover the latest e-books, audiobooks, streaming movies, TV shows, and concerts, along with several online databases free of charge. Patrons may also opt-in to receive emails about virtual engagement programs the library may offer online, such as storytimes and lectures programs, at rhpl.org.
