The Rochester Hills Public Library announced the appointment of Betsy Raczowski, to Youth Services Manager. Raczowski was most recently a youth services librarian for RHPL. As manager, Raczowski succeeds, Claire Lopiccolo, who accepted a position as Romeo District Library’s director.
“As a youth services librarian for over eight years, Betsy is perfectly positioned to lead our library’s youth department. Her experience managing major events like the summer reading kickoff party coupled with her early literacy expertise will add substantial value to our team and will be central to achieving our long-term strategic goals,” said Library Director Christine Lind Hage.
Native to Rochester, Betsy has worked at Rochester Hills Public Library since 2011. She graduated from Oakland University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and received her Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from Wayne State University.
“I’m looking forward to working with our staff, patrons and the wider community to further RHPL’s legacy of service and its vital role as a place of learning, connection, and innovation,” said Raczowski.
