Berg’s name can frequently be found on the New York Times Bestseller list, and her book Open House was an Oprah Winfrey Book Club Selection. The program is free to the public but registration is required at calendar.rhpl.org.

Elizabeth Berg will be leaving her home state of Illinois and visiting numerous Michigan libraries during her Summer Driving Tour. She will be joined on her trip by one of her beloved dogs, Gabigail “Gabby” Starletta Buttons. Berg notes that, “the animals would like you to know they did not get to vote on their names.” Her furry family also includes another dog, Austin, and a cat named Gracie.

“It’s an honor to have such a well-respected author, like Ms. Berg, visit our community. I believe residents will be grateful for the opportunity and I’m certain we’ll have a great turn out,” said Library Director Christine Lind Hage.

To register for this free event please visit calendar.rhpl.org or call 248-656-2900.
