Rochester Hills Rolls Out New Summer Programs

Outdoor events are in full swing in Rochester Hills. This July and August, the City’s Outdoor Engagement Team will offer several programs to get people outdoors, while providing opportunities to learn new skills along the way.

“These events are a great way to unwind, unplug, and reconnect to the natural world around us,” states Mayor Bryan K. Barnett. “Our team is excited to share their expertise with our neighbors in this fun way.”

Whether you want to kayak, fish, or float, there’s something for everyone to sign up for this season. Upcoming July and August programs include the following:

  • Evening Kayak – July 22 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Kayaking 101 – July 24 at 9:00 a.m. and August 22 at 9:00 a.m.
  • River Adventure – July 25 at 1:00 p.m.
  • Tree ID and Campfire – July 29 at 7:00 p.m.
  • Outdoor Adventure Camp – August 3 at 10:00 a.m.
  • Hiking Boots & Thinking Caps – A Hike with a Twist – August 26

“Rochester Hills is full of so many unique and fun ways to connect with nature,” said Matt Einheuser, Natural Resources Manager. “We look forward to engaging people of all ages in these summer activities.”
