Rochester Hills, Michigan – With the upcoming expiration of two dedicated police millages, Rochester Hills’ residents will soon decide how to fund police services. The current millage doesn’t expire until 2013, but the city’s Police and Road Funding Technical Review Committee have been working on funding alternatives for the past year.
As part of that effort, the committee will host a public hearing on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 to gather additional public input.
“It’s very important that people let us know what they think. Our police services are an integral part of maintaining a safe community and stable property values,” states Don Cline, chair of the Police and Road Funding Technical Review Committee.
The public hearing will be held at the Rochester Hills City Hall Auditorium from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Residents are also encouraged to submit their input via e-mail at
webberm+prtc@rochesterhills.com. The deadline for submitting comments and suggestions is February 1, 2012.
