Rochester Junior Women’s Club is Seeking Area Non-Profit Organizations to Benefit

The Rochester Junior Women’s Club is looking for non-profit organizations that need assistance and can benefit from our fundraising.

Each spring the club Donations Committee reviews requests submitted by local organizations requesting assistance. Based on the committee’s recommendations, annual recipients are selected for the major fundraisers as well as recipients for miscellaneous donations.

The Rochester Junior Women’s Club (RJWC) has been serving the community since 1956. RJWC is a service organization involved in promoting education, preserving natural resources, working on behalf of the elderly, children and families in need and supporting, and participating in the arts. Since inception, they have donated more than one million hours of community service and raised more than $900,000 to support the local community. The club holds two or three major fundraisers a year to raise funds for the chosen recipients.

Proceeds from the past fundraising efforts have been provided to Avon Players, Band of Angels, Crittenton Hospital Foundation, Dinosaur Hill Nature Preserve, Dutton Farm, Leader Dogs for the Blind, Meadow Brook Center for Learning Differences, Meadow Brook Hall, Meadow Brook Hall Garden Club, Meadow Brook Theatre, Older Persons Commission (OPC), Paint a Miracle, Paint Creek Center for the Arts, Rainbow Connection, Rochester Area Neighborhood House, Rochester Community House, Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm, Rochester Hills Public Library, Rochester Symphony Orchestra (RSO), South Oakland Shelter, and many other organizations.

Organizations in need of assistance may visit the RJWC website and click on the Donation Request Application link under Fundraising. Applications can also be submitted to Margie at rjwcpreselect@gmail.com. Please list the organization’s name in the subject line; ex: Donation Request – ABC Charity. Please have all requests submitted by March 26, 2021. Further questions may be directed to Anne at rjwcpreselect@gmail.com.
