With our three-year anniversary just a few months away, we decided it was time for a makeover on our website and our logos! So we hit the drawing boards and drafted up the newest version of our site. Since we bring you news and updates in the area, but also offer publishing and publishing advice to new authors, we wanted the intent of our site to be clear. We also wanted a user-friendly interface for searching and finding older articles. Our new site does just that. This version is much more complimentary to the news seekers. Not only is the search function simple, but also the categories are displayed nicely across the top of the page while the photographs are sized correctly for the reader’s enjoyment.
While staying true to our signature logo was important to us, we also wanted to achieve a fresh look for our company. You’ve probably noticed that the RM in the Rochester Media logo has a green book below it. We have chosen green because it symbolizes growth, freshness, revitalization, and new life. These are all things we hope Rochester Media brings our readers each time they visit our site. We carried this symbolic color across to The Community Edge’s logo in the form of a person holding a newspaper with the expectation that our weekly newsletter will bring fresh, new life to readers every Thursday.
Take a look, and let us know what you think! If you like our new look, be sure to let Brian Jamieson of JamiesonDesign.net know.
Thank you,
