Rochester Posed “I Love the 80s” Winners
Downtown Rochester held its sixth annual Rochester Posed event on Thursday, October 4. During the event twenty-three participating businesses turned their storefront windows into live mannequin displays. This year’s theme for Rochester Posed was I Love the 80s. Attendees were dazzled by a variety of mannequin displays including The Breakfast Club, Masters of the Universe, and Raiders of the Lost Ark.
“Rochester Posed is one of my favorite events,” said Jenna O’Dell, Events Coordinator of the Rochester Downtown Development Authority. “It’s a huge hit with the community and it really wouldn’t be possible without the hard work of the downtown businesses and of course, all the volunteers.”
Event attendees were able to cast a vote for their favorite live mannequin displays through Short Message Service (SMS) polling (text message voting). There were also a selected panel of judges that scored each window for the Judge’s Choice winner.
The top three windows with the most texts for the people’s choice:
- First Place: @Home Furniture – Masters of the Universe
- Second Place: Lytle Pharmacy – Caddyshack
- Third Place: 2nd Street Studio of Dance – The Little Mermaid
The top three windows with the most votes from the panel of judges:
- First Place: Talulah Belle – Strawberry Shortcake
- Second Place: Oliver Simone Salon – Hairspray
- Third Place: South Street – Beetlejuice
