The Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce (RRCC) announced, at the 2021 Sunrise Pinnacle Awards, that Maggie Bobitz would become the new chamber President in 2022. She brings incredible experience and an intimate history with the Chamber of Commerce, starting as a member in 2008.
“I started my journey with the chamber over 13 years ago … I am blessed to get up each morning and do a job that I love. I am excited and grateful to be serving in this role,” said President Maggie Bobitz.
For many years, Maggie held various positions within the chamber including Ambassador, Board Member, and Chair of the Board of Directors in 2016 while also becoming a staff member at the chamber under the executive leadership of former President Sheri Heiny. As an employee, she worked diligently managing chamber events and programs. Then in 2017, she earned the Vice President role working closely with former President Alaina Campbell. Maggie has become well known in the business community of the greater Rochester area. She has built strong relationships with area leaders, business owners, and those who drive commerce throughout the region.
Throughout 2020, Bobitz undertook weekly learning sessions about industry safety and health, to obtain an Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) certification. After completing 30 course hours, she earned her certification in November 2020. Bobitz is a strong believer in continual learning and plans on furthering her professional development through additional learning opportunities throughout her new role. President Bobitz brings a vibrant vision to Chamber programs for 2022 and beyond.
