Sidewalk Sales July 14, 15 & 16

Nothing says summer in Downtown Rochester quite like Sidewalk Sales. Back for its 61th Year, Sidewalk Sales will kick-off on Thursday, July 14.

“Over the years Sidewalk Sales has become something to expect during the summer in Downtown Rochester”, said Stephanie Hellebuyck, Events Coordinator of the Rochester Downtown Development Authority. “For many it isn’t summer without three days filled with shopping, dining, and family-friendly activities.”

Sidewalk Sales will run Thursday, July 14 and Friday, July 15 from 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, July 16 from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.  Come check out the awesome assembly of bargains from downtown Rochester merchants. Sidewalk Sale displays will be located along Main Street and side streets in Downtown Rochester. Sidewalk Sales is presented by Chief Financial Credit Union.

As always there will be fun for all ages. Kids can partake in a sand art activity daily from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. in front of 423 Main. Shoppers can enjoy strolling musical entertainment daily from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. and steal drummers from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.

Back again this year is the Rochester Explorers Club. The Explorers Club invites kids of all ages are invited to get outdoors and explore everything that our community has to offer through an amazing array of adventures. Kids can pick up their free Explorers Club Kit during Sidewalk Sales at the DDA Booth located at west Fourth & Main.

Continue the fun on Saturday, July 16 with Movies in the Moonlight and Cinderella (2015). Movies in the Moonlight is located in the parking lot at the corner of E. Third & Water, one block east of Main. Featured movies begin at dusk (approximately 9:15 p.m.) and pre-shows start at 8:30 pm. Admission is free. Movies in the Moonlight continues on July 23, 30 and August 6.
