The Rochester Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is proud to announce its new event series, Front Porch Stories. Front Porch Stories will give area residents the opportunity to hear great stories from some of our town’s most interesting people. In addition, just as the name says, it will happen all from a front porch.
Kicking off the series is one of downtown’s business owners, Tony Lipuma. He’ll be sharing his favorite stories and memories of Rochester over the years. For this installment of Front Porch Stories, they’re borrowing a front porch from Nik Banda, 311 N. Castell. Thursday, July 18 from 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Bring a lawn chair/blanket and they’ll bring the lemonade and cookies.
Upcoming Front Porch Stories will be held on Thursday, August 22 at Rochester Mayor Rob Ray’s Front Porch and Thursday, September 12 with Museum Director Patrick McKay at Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm.
Front Porch Stories is part of The Front Porch Project, a new initiative by the Rochester DDA. The goal of The Front Porch Project is to improve the quality of life for area residents, focusing on wellness, community, people and place.
