Royal Park Hotel’s PARK 600 restaurant is firing up its pizza ovens to launch Pizza With a Purpose. A limited number of DIY PARK 600 Frank Pizza Kits will be available to order online between now and April 16. The purpose? For every pizza purchased, PARK 600 will make and donate individual pizzas to first responders and healthcare workers on the front lines of the COVID-19 crisis.
Pizza Kits may be picked-up curbside with limited contact on Friday April 17 at one of two designated times. When guests purchase their kit online through Eventbrite, they will select 3:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. for their pickup time. Guests will simply pull up to the main entrance of Royal Park Hotel, give their name and the PARK 600 team will bring the pizza kit(s) to their car. Pizza With a Purpose kits will include a set of directions to make their pizzas, and is enough to make two 12″ pizzas, ideal for a family of four.
“Feeding our community is something that we love to do,” said Sue Keels, Royal Park Hotel General Manager. “While we can’t feed our community in PARK 600 right now, we wanted to give our guests an opportunity to bring a part of PARK 600 home with them. The best part is, it gives us all a chance to serve the first responders who are serving us during this difficult time.”
Since Royal Park Hotel and PARK 600 went idle at the end of March due to COVID-19 social distancing orders, PARK 600 has donated food and essential items to local organizations in need. It will continue to provide pizza and meals to first responders and hospital workers throughout the crisis. Pizza With a Purpose allows the community to take part, increasing the number of individuals Royal Park is able to serve. Pizzas can be ordered online.
Please Note: These are Do-it-Yourself (DIY) kits that you bake at home, these are not ready to eat pizzas like the ones the first reponders are getting, as shown in the photos.
