Spring Into Action This March at the OPC
Spring Into Action this March with free classes and programs designed to introduce the community to the OPC, the place to be for adults 50 and older.
From March 17 through March 23 all residents of Rochester, Rochester Hills and Oakland Township are invited to come and sample a variety of classes and activities held at the Older Persons’ Commission (OPC) in Rochester. Spring Into Action is sponsored by SameAddress, a program of the Area Agency on Aging.
“Spring Into Action is a great way for people to find out why the OPC truly is the place to be for older adults,” said Renee Cortright, Executive Director. “The center has been a hidden gem for too long. Membership is a part of living in Rochester, Rochester Hills and Oakland Township and we want people50+ to come and see all of the amazing programs and services we have to offer.”

Free Classes and Demonstrations
Fitness classes will include Tai Chi, Cycling Demos, Yoga, Pickleball Lessons and a demonstration about OPC Personal Training.
Guests can also sample Woodshop, Paper Crafting, Watercolor Techniques, Glass Fusing & Wire Wrap and other Art& Craft classes.
The highlights of the week will be a screening of the critically acclaimed movie, The Age of Love on March 22 at 6 p.m. and a special presentation by FOX2 reporter Roop Raj entitled, How We Can Make a Difference on March 23 at 1:15 p.m.
Pre-registration is required for all Spring Into Action events. Residents can register for a maximum of three free events plus the movies by calling 248-656-1403, ext. 0. The OPC is located at 650 Letica in Rochester, MI.
