Neighborhood House and HealthQuest Physical Therapy Announce Couch-to-5K Program for Scare Away Hunger 5K Run/Walk
On Sunday, October 21, at Rochester College in Rochester Hills, Michigan, Neighborhood House will host the eighth annual Scare Away Hunger 5K Run/Walk.
New this year is the Couch-to-5K program hosted by HealthQuest Physical Therapy of Rochester Hills. This program will help train those who wish to participate in the 5K. Staff from HealthQuest Physical Therapy has developed an excellent program that is flexible for both beginners and advanced runners. The Couch-to-5K program will include group training opportunities, camaraderie with fellow runners, motivational quotes, tips on diet, and more.
“We are so excited to launch the Couch-to-5K program, championed by HealthQuest Physical Therapy, for the 8th annual Scare Away Hunger 5K Run/Walk,” Katie Lamb, Director of Fund Development, Neighborhood House, said. “It’s an excellent opportunity to bring awareness and support to the services Neighborhood House provides to local individuals and families in crisis.”

Also new this year to the race is the Bronze Family Sponsorship which is on sale for $200 (a $50 discount) until July 4. This sponsorship includes six complimentary registrations (a $120 value) and recognition on t-shirts, Facebook pages, website and the donor newsletter. Other sponsorships that range from $500-$5,000 include various additions from displays at the event, complementary registrations, and more.
