The Older Persons’ Commission (OPC) is hosting their Second-Hand Jewelry Sale on May 16, 9:00 – 7:00 p.m. and May 17 from 9:00 – 2:00 p.m. Featuring high quality earrings, necklaces, accessories and more, this sale offers an opportunity to revamp a wardrobe with new and vintage jewelry.
The Jewelry Sale will be open to the public and offers free admission to all attendees. This year there will be high end offerings in the Unique Boutique, and exotic items like perfume bottles, purses, scarves and men’s jewelry on display. Each piece might be the next treasured family heirloom, so bring a friend and find the perfect item.
Paula Bedsole, Director of Fine Arts and Jewelry Sale Coordinator, encourages the community to come out, “There have been some incredible jewelry and accessory donations this year that fit into every price range. And, to serve the working crowd, we’ll be open until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday night. You definitely don’t want to miss this bi-annual event!”
The Second Hand Jewelry Sale benefits the Fine Arts & Enrichment Department at OPC which offers a wide variety of watercolor, lapidary, woodworking, pottery, language and computer courses. Your purchases will provide support for programming that maintains health and quality of life for older adults. If community members have like-new jewelry they would like to donate to the next sale, they are encouraged to bring them in as they shop for new jewelry items.
