Rochester, MI Launches SeeClickFix for 13,000+ Residents
Rochester is launching SeeClickFix, a citizen reporting tool for its 13,000+ residents. Residents can now connect directly with the City about issues like potholes, graffiti, and more, through a custom mobile app called Rochester Works.
Rochester joins an incredible network of SeeClickFix partners in Michigan, anchored by the cities of Ann Arbor and Detroit. As the newest SeeClickFix member, Rochester is positioning itself as an innovator in helping build a robust system of citizen engagement in the area, no matter where residents are located physically.
SeeClickFix is integrating with Cityworks, Rochester’s pre-existing work order system. Rochester Works will connect residents more directly with the exact departments working to solve specific issues. When a resident reports an issue through the web or mobile app, it will automatically get routed to the right people with SeeClickFix’s backend.
With new web and mobile apps, as well as a seamless integration into their work order system, Rochester hopes that issues can be identified, processed, and fixed more efficiently and effectively. Residents will also have a much easier time voicing their concerns, resulting in a higher volume of issues for Rochester as well as the capability to handle it.
Rochester’s deep interest in increasing efficiency and citizen engagement is very clear. This partnership will not only make Rochester a better place to live, but contributes to a larger regional and State-wide network in Michigan.
“The City is excited to be launching Rochester Works, a free mobile app that will allow residents to quickly and easily report items of concern to the City,” said, Blaine Wing, City Manager.
