Paint Creek Center for the Arts is kicking off the holiday shopping season with several special events surrounding its annual Holiday Gift Gallery.

On Friday, Nov. 16 from 6-10 p.m., PCCA will present Holly Dolly, a silent auction and fundraiser for the center’s Exhibition Program. Guests can bid on dolls and soft toys made by Michigan artists and donated to PCCA. Tickets are $20 ($15 for members) and include hors d’oeuvres, desserts and other refreshments.

The next day, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., the annual Morning Shopping Extravaganza in the gift gallery will feature festive music, a delicious array of sweets from area merchants, special discounts and an opportunity to mingle with artists, collectors and art lovers from all over the region.

The Holiday Gift Gallery will be filled with handmade objects and artworks made by Michigan artists working from formal to funky in all media: glass, ceramic, painting, fibers, jewelry, toys, metal, mixed media and more. You’ll find traditional favorites like hand-blown glass ornaments and Pewabic Pottery, alongside exciting new works by artists from across the state.

The gift gallery runs through Dec. 30. Hours are Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-9 p.m., Friday, 9-5 and Saturday, 10-4. For more information, visit pccart.org or call (248) 651-4110.
