Christmas will be here before we know it. Honestly, how could we forget? Kroger was selling pumpkins alongside decorative snowmen last week! ABC Family has released their 25 Days of Christmas list already, and our downtown crew has been busily hanging the beautiful Christmas lights for The Big, Bright Light Show. Personally, I love Christmas and think it’s the most beautiful time of the year. I love all the decorations and hustle and bustle of town so I don’t really mind the Christmas season starting already.
I’m an all-year-round Christmas gift shopper and already have a few people crossed off my list. I plan on getting more ideas at the Downtown Holiday Expo on Monday, November 18 at the Royal Park Hotel. Join the party from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. Enjoy demonstrations, refreshments, and door prizes as you shop from over different 25 Rochester businesses. I love one-stop shopping! I took my son last year and we had a blast looking at all the different items for sale. We sampled a lot of goodies and enjoyed talking to the different store owners.
There are so many fun holiday events coming up in downtown Rochester. Start off with the Holiday Expo on November 18 and the ribbon cutting of the giant gingerbread house at the Royal Park Hotel on Wednesday, November 20. Then we’ll have Lagniappe and The Big, Bright Light Show on Monday, December 2. Carriage rides start every Friday night on December 6, the Kris Kringle Market on Saturday, December 7, and the Rochester Hometown Christmas Parade Sunday, December 8. It’s promising to be a fun season this year!
