Sidewalk Sales Bring Downtown Rochester’s Summer to Life

Back for its 66th year, Downtown Rochester Sidewalk Sales kick-off in mid-July. The sale will run Thursday, July 15 and Friday, July 16 from 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, July 17 from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Sidewalk Sale displays will be located along Main Street and side streets in Downtown Rochester. 

Downtown Rochester’s Sidewalk Sale weekend is a Chief favorite,” said Tom Dluzen, Chief Financial Credit Union president and CEO. “Our team loves to meet the community and share our passion for being a part of the Rochester area. Be sure to stop by and see us, we have a fun experience and prizes planned.”  

Kids can partake in a craft daily from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. in front of City Tavern (423 Main). On Friday night get movin’ and groovin’ for the return of Dancin’ in the Street. Dancin’ in the Street takes place on W. Fourth Street from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. Bring the whole family to enjoy live music featuring the band The SquarePegz as well as, a TasteFest from local Rochester eateries.

Back again this year is the Rochester Explorers Club. The Explorers Club invites kids of all ages to get outdoors and explore everything that our community has to offer through an amazing array of adventures. Kids can pick up their free Explorers Club Kit during Sidewalk Sales at the Downtown Collaboration Studio located at 431 Main Street.

Continue the fun on Saturday, July 17 with Movies in the Moonlight and Aladdin (2019). Movies in the Moonlight is located in the parking lot at the corner of E. Third & Water, one block east of Main. Featured movies begin at dusk (approximately 9:15 p.m.) and pre-shows start at 8:30 p.m.  Admission is free. Movies in the Moonlight continues July 24, 31, and August 7.
