Sign-up for the 5K Run/Walk for OPC Meals Fundraiser

The OPC needs your help! On Saturday, June 7, they will be having a 5K Run/Walk. Every $5 raised will provide one meal for a home-bound senior. This is a community opportunity to give back and have some fun.

Here is how you can help raise funds:

  • Run in the 5K Fun Run
  • Walk one mile
  • Give a tax-deductible donation for a great cause

The flat course runs along the Clinton River Trail and there’s one hill. Runners please note that this is a chip-timed event with full awards in 10-year age groups. Walkers, prizes will be given for oldest & youngest walker. Refreshments are included, plus meet “Hooper,” the Detroit Piston’s Mascot.

Pre-registration:$20 or pay $25 on race day. Free t-shirts for all participants who have pre-registered by Sunday, June 1. Pre-register to the address below (checks payable to OPC) or download entry form at: www.opcseniorcenter.org.

If not able to participate, donations by phone are welcome. Call 248-608-0251 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

On race day, Saturday June 7, registration for runners and walkers is from 7:15 a.m.-7:50 a.m. in the UPPER parking lot of the Older Persons’ Commission, 650 Letica, Rochester, MI 48307.
