Smart Towns: Silver Spoons and Golden Spikes – Railroads & Depots in the Gilded Age

Smart Towns is a lifelong learning program for everyone in the community, led by educational, non-profit organizations including the Rochester Hills Museum. Smart Town “partners” work together to provide a unique series of programs exploring one period in history for one year. The theme for 2017 is The Gilded Age in America: 1870 – 1900.

Jackie Hoist, AIA, and Ron Campbell, AIA, provide a look at the unique architecture that train depots captured during the Gilded Age in America. 

The Rochester Hills Museum is located at 1005 Van Hoosen Road, off Tienken Road between Rochester and Dequindre Roads. Rochester Hills Museum Members Free; Non-members $5 – Registration required at rochesterhills.org/museum
