Smithsonian Magazine’s Museum Day at the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm
The Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm is proud to participate in Smithsonian Magazine’s 14th Annual Museum Day on Saturday, September 22 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Museum Day is a national initiative to promote boundless curiosity and the pursuit of knowledge by offering visitors free admission to participating museums across the United States. The Rochester Hills Museum will offer free admission to visitors who download the Museum Day ticket. Admission will include self-guided tours of the Rochester Bicentennial exhibit in the 1927 Dairy Barn as well as guided tours of the 1840 Van Hoosen Farmhouse and 1850 Red Tenant House. The Museum’s Archivist will also be on site to answer local history questions and give an exclusive look at the Museum’s archives and collections.
The Rochester Hills Museum is located at 1005 Van Hoosen Road, off Tienken Road between Rochester and Dequindre Roads.
