Nothing says summer in Downtown Rochester quite like Sidewalk Sales! Back for its 60th Year, Sidewalk Sales will kick-off on Thursday, July 9.
“Over the years Sidewalk Sales has become something to expect during the summer in Downtown Rochester”, said Stephanie Hellebuyck, Events Coordinator of the Rochester Downtown Development Authority. “For many it isn’t summer without three days filled of shopping, dining and family friendly activities.”
Sidewalk Sales will run Thursday, July 9 and Friday, July 10 from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Saturday, July 11 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Come check out the awesome assembly and bargains of downtown Rochester merchants. Sidewalk Sale displays will be located along Main Street and side streets in Downtown Rochester. As always there will be fun for all ages. Sidewalk Sales is presented by Buffalo Wild Wings, Renewal by Anderson, Rochester Hills Spine Care and The Stewart Team.

Back again this year is the Rochester Explorers Club. The Explorers Club invites kids of all ages are invited to get outdoors and explore everything that our community has to offer through an amazing array of adventures. Kids can pick up their free Explorers Club Kit during Sidewalk Sales at the DDA Booth located at west Fourth & Main. Continue the fun on Saturday, July 11 with Movies in the Moonlight and Jurassic Park. Dinosaur Hill will join for the pre-show activity and host a dinosaur dig. Movies in the Moonlight is located in the parking lot at the corner of E. Third & Water, one block east of Main. Featured movies begin at dusk (approximately 9:15 pm) and pre- shows start at 8:30 pm. Admission is free. Movies in the Moonlight continues on July 25 with Big Hero 6 and August 8 with The Lego Movie.
Other downtown Rochester summer and activities events include the Downtown Rochester Farmers’ Market, every Saturday morning through October 31; Rochester Explorer’s Club, July 9 – August 8; Mini Market Thursdays on July 16 and August 20 and the Princess and Pirate Ball on August 2.
