Rochester Community Schools Foundation is pleased to announce a commitment of $1,500 from SportZ AllStarZ, Inc. to support students and families in Rochester Community Schools. The donation is to be designated for specific purposes including enrichment activities and anti-bullying initiatives.
“We understand the many financial challenges that families within our community face. These are difficult times. However, we believe strongly that if children want to participate in a sport or activity, financial constraints should not be a barrier to participation,” said Erek Walter, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “SportZ AllStarZ is honored to offer the SportZ AllStarZ RCS Enrichment Scholarship in the amount of $500 for the 2010 – 2011 school year to support the RCS Enrichment Department. It is our hope that these funds can assist those families who might not otherwise be able to participate in RCS Enrichment activities.
SportZ AllStarZ has also donated $1,000 to the assist the Rochester Community Schools PTA in continuing the Rachel’s Challenge program for the 2010 – 2011 school year. “We support the important message of compassion and tolerance that is embedded into Rachel’s Challenge,” added Moore. “We are pleased to be able to help bring it to the district for a second year.”
“SportZ AllStarZ has always been a strong advocate for corporate, business and individual donations to support instructional and athletic programs and services for students in Rochester Community Schools,” said Glenn Gouldey, Rochester Community Schools Foundation Chair. “Since 2005 SportZ AllStarZ has contributed over $10,000 to help the Foundation helping kids succeed.”
