Complimentary Classes for Local Residents – One Week Only
Jumpstart spring at Older Persons’ Center (OPC). Residents of the Rochester community are invited for a week of complimentary programs and demonstrations running through March 16. Throughout the week, participants will have opportunities to explore everything the OPC provides. No pre-registration required, just stop in and discover something new.
Spring into Action began in 2016 as a way to encourage local residents to try the OPC out for themselves. Each year, the programs and activities have expanded to make this one of the busiest weeks of the year. Attendees can discover how meditation soothes the spirit, or connect with fellow veterans during the Wednesday Veterans group. They can munch on popcorn at the Friday night showing of Bohemian Rhapsody or hear from Tom Daldin from the award-winning series Under the Radar.
The OPC is also excited to share the many services available to older adults including Meals on Wheels, transportation, Adult Day Services, and support groups. As our community grows and changes, OPC aims to be there at every step providing independence and mobility for all seniors.
