Missing bikes in Rochester Hills—Two reports
On Monday, Aug. 26, the Rochester Hills Police Department filed a report of a stolen mountain bike from a Sylvan Circle. residence. The owner mentioned he parked his Avalon mountain bike on his patio when he was not riding it. The bike was seen on his patio the day prior to the report and was noted as missing. There are no suspects at this time.
On Tuesday, Aug. 25, a Rochester Hills resident reported a stolen mountain bike from Marquette Court. The owner told police that when his family left to go swimming, the Mongoose bike was lying in their yard. But when they returned, the bike was gone. There are no suspects at this time.
Stolen Spartan flag
On Friday, Aug. 23, A Rochester Hills woman reported her Michigan State University flag had been stolen from her Kilburn Road home. The home has exterior lights on until 2 a.m. but there are no suspects or further information at this time.
Mailbox damage
On Wednesday, Aug. 21, a Nawakwa Road resident alerted Rochester Hills Police of property damage. The woman told police she heard several young males yelling outside her home, then heard a loud noise near her mailbox. The woman saw the suspects drive away in a tan station wagon but was unable to read their license plate as it was dark. Upon investigation, the woman discovered her mailbox was damaged and broken from the post. The woman has never seen the station wagon before and there are is no further information on the suspects at this time.
Lawn ornaments taken from Rochester Hills woman’s yard
On Monday, Aug. 19, Rochester Hills Police received a report of larceny from a Melvin Avenue home. The homeowner reported stolen lawn ornaments including a cement fox, ceramic pelican and five solar lights. There are no suspects at this time.
License plate larceny
Also on Monday, Aug. 19, police investigated a stolen license plate from a Rochester Hills resident’s Chevy truck on Meadowbrook Drive. The owner mentioned the plate was seen on his truck Friday by a coworker but was missing when he left for work on Monday. There is no further information at this time.
Scratched car
Also on Monday, Aug. 19, Rochester Hills Police received a report of car scratching at a Sylvan Circle. residence. Over the weekend, the woman believes that perhaps neighboring children may have scratched her car while playing on their bikes nearby, but there is no further information.
