Stoney Creek High School Honors (SCHS) Past State Champions with a Golf Outing

The 2010 state-champion competitive Cheer Team will be the guests of honor at Stoney Creek’s first golf outing, set for September 9 at Twin Lakes Golf Club. The event will include a 4-person scramble, box lunch, and an awards dinner following the golf. Proceeds from the event will benefit Stoney Creek athletics.

“We are so excited to bring back Stoney Creek’s first state champions, the 2010 cheer team. We hope to host this event every year and honor a different award-winning team each time,” said Julie Parks, SCHS Booster President. “This event is a great way to bring our alumni back and let them know that Stoney Creek is still their home.”

Businesses interested in showing their support of the Stoney Creek community are invited to purchase a sponsorship or donate items for prizes and raffle drawings.

Sponsorships still are available at several levels, starting from $50 cart sponsorships and $150 hole sponsorships, to the $5,000 title sponsorship. All sponsors will be recognized with logo signage on the course, and all sponsorships over $500 will include a foursome (a $500 value). The title sponsors’ logo will be featured on the event website, a banner at the event (which also will be hung at the football stadium for the fall season), spirit wear, and it will receive a half-page ad in all three seasons of the Stoney Creek Athletic Department Media Guide. The title sponsorship will also include 8 golf registrations (two foursomes).

Throughout the day and evening, guests will have the opportunity to participate in several golf-related competitions and raffle drawings.

“Some of our lucky guests may walk away with a 5-day Ocean Adventure cruise, or tickets to a sporting event, or a concert of their choice,” stated Annette LaFave, the event co-coordinator. “If they happen to make a hole-in-one, their prize may include $5,000, a TV, a Yeti cooler, or a cruise.”

The cost is $125 per golfer and includes 18 holes, cart, dinner, lunch at the turn, various raffles and prizes. Non-golfing guests may join the celebration for dinner, and may register for $50. The registration deadline is August 29, but online registrations must be submitted by August 24. Unfortunately, walk-up registrations will not be accepted.
