Celebrate Arbor Day with Rochester Hills Mayor Bryan K. Barnett and City staff at the annual Tree Planting Ceremony at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 28, at the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm.  The City of Rochester Hills will be planting a Black Walnut tree at the Museum, helping to recreate the historic landscape on the park grounds. The Rochester Tree Committee celebrated the 150th Anniversary of Arbor Day last month. City Of Rochester Celebrates Arbor Day at Elizabeth Park

The Rochester City Beautiful Commission (CBC) celebrated Arbor Day by planting Autumn Blaze Maple on April 28 at Elizabeth Park. Members of the CBC were on hand for the celebration along with Rochester City Administration, City Council members and the Parks Department. Hills celebrates Tree City designation

  For the 22nd year, Rochester Hills has been named a Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation. To become a Tree City USA, a community must meet four standards:  a tree board or department, a tree care ordinance, a comprehensive community forestry program and an Arbor Day observance.
