Avondale School District Recognized by Michigan Department of Education

Avondale School District Announces Receipt of Second MDE Grant Avondale School District has been awarded a Michigan Department of Education (MDE) grant in the amount of $40,442. Students in the Avondale School District will benefit from two DonorsChoose.org grants that teachers from R. Grant Graham Elementary received this month. Both grants qualified for match finding from the “Target: Kid Ideas are the Best Ideas” initiative that Target Corporation launched this year. Deerfield Elementary Student Shines at TGA Invitational

Avondale School District Deerfield Elementary fifth-grader Ria Narang traveled to Sarnia, Ontario to compete in the 2016 TGA Junior Golf Invitational with nineteen teammates. The group took first place, winning eight two-team scrambles, and brought home the top prize – the Blue Water Cup.
