Rachel Jacobs’ Legacy Lingers in Detroit

Rachel Jacobs may have been living in Manhattan, but Detroit was always in her heart as evidenced by Detroit Nation, the community-building charity she co-founded. Last week, Jacobs and seven others lost their lives when the Amtrak train they were riding from Philadelphia to New York left the tracks. Hazardous Weather Alert for Rochester-Rochester Hills

By Beth Dalbey (Patch Staff) A hazardous weather outlook is in effect for Southeast Michigan – including the counties of Oakland, Macomb, Wayne, Washtenaw and Livingston – through Thursday night, the National Weather Service said.
