Lincoln Day Dinner Comes to Rochester

Lincoln Day Dinner The Royal Park Hotel in Downtown Rochester hosted the 125th Lincoln Day Dinner. The event was started by a group of Republicans on January 6, 1888 in the Club room of the Oakland Gazette in Pontiac, to take steps in forming an Oakland County Republican Club. Schuette asked to settle OPC budget dispute

The dispute over the Rochester Older Persons Commission budget is now in the hands of Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette. The city of Rochester has asked Schuette for an opinion on whether the OPC is violating state law that governs entities created by an interlocal agreement, specifically by spending money without a budget approved by the member communities.
