Moore resigns from school board

Gerald Moore will step down from the Rochester Community Schools Board of Education effective immediately, he announced Nov. 19. Applications are now being sought for someone to fill the seat for the next two years. The appointee’s term will expire December 31, 2014. In November 2014, a board member will be elected to serve the remainder of the term, which expires December 31, 2016. By law, the board must appoint a new trustee within 30 days.
