Patterson signs a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the creation of a regional water authority

It was announced in a recent press release, that Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the City of Detroit, Wayne and Macomb counties, and the State of Michigan that recommends the creation of a regional water authority. Oakland County Statement on Detroit’s Plan of Adjustment

Oakland County, Michigan released the following statement on the City of Detroit’s plan of adjustment filed in U.S. Bankruptcy Court: "The City of Detroit has not given Oakland County any preliminary drafts of its plan of adjustment filed in U.S. Bankruptcy Court today; we just obtained a copy of our own. Oakland County Board of Commissioners votes to help maintain DIA Collections

On Wednesday, August 14, 2013, the Oakland County Board Chairman Michael J. Gingell, in partnership with Oakland County Commissioner Kathy  S. Crawford introduced a resolution in support for the maintenance of the Detroit Institute of Arts Collection.
