The Rochester Community Runs and Walks for Meals
On Saturday, June 4, runners and walkers will take to the starting line at 8:00 a.m. at the Older Person’s Commission (OPC) and travel down the serene Clinton River Trail. The 5K course is flat with only one hill making it the perfect course for any athlete. There is a reduced entry fee for pre-registered participants before June 1: $15 for ages 12 and under and $20 all other participants. Race day entry fee is $25. Travelers on the Clinton River Trail now have a new place to rest near downtown Rochester thanks to the generous donation of area resident Gelene Pigott. Rochester Planning Commission Votes to Move Forward On Monday evening, the Rochester Planning Commission voted to move forward on the proposed 131-unit Mill Town Apartment complex in downtown Rochester. The 18-acre site is identified as a “special projects” area in the Master Land Use Plan for the City of Rochester. Therefore, the project requires approval by City Council.
