Gas Leak in Downtown Rochester

Construction crews in Downtown Rochester hit a gas line today while putting in a driveway off Ferndale Avenue. Rochester Police and Fire were on the scene quickly and closed Ferndale Avenue from Main Street to N. Pine Street and evacuated area residents as a precautionary measure. NB outer lane of Crooks Road Closing for Emergency Repair Work

The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) reported this morning that the northbound outer lane on Crooks Road, just south of Wattles Road, in Troy will be closed to traffic beginning at 9 a.m. this morning and is expected to re-open to traffic on Monday, August 17. The closure is for concrete repairs that are the result of an earlier emergency gas main issue that was addressed by Consumer’s Energy, and the concrete repair work is also being done by Consumer’s Energy. … [Read more...]
