Moody’s Investors Service and Standard & Poor’s have reaffirmed Oakland County’s AAA bond rating with a stable outlook for the county’s $15.5 million Building Authority Bonds Series 2015. New Report Highlights Health Gaps Among Michigan Counties
Removing substantial health differences among Michigan counties could prevent more than 7,800 premature deaths every year, according to a new report released today by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute. Oakland County’s Robust Economy Drives Down Jobless Rate
Oakland County’s economy is among the better performers in Michigan with a 4.6 percent jobless rate, County Executive L. Brooks Patterson recently announced. Oakland County employees donated a record $7,000 through a Special Casual Day fundraiser to the family of Michigan State Trooper Chad Wolf, who died in the line of duty on Aug. 28 while on patrol in northern Oakland County.
