Stoney Creek’s Compton School’s First State Player of the Year

ROCHESTER HILLS — Devon Compton has had a lot of firsts in her golf career. There’s one that will live in infamy at Rochester Stoney Creek.  Compton was honored Sunday as the 2010 recipient of Miss Golf by the Michigan Interscholastic Golf Coaches Association, becoming the first Stoney Creek athlete in school history to be named the state’s Player of the Year in her respective sport. “It’s really an honor being named Miss Golf,” offered Compton, who is also a scholar athlete with a 3.8 GPA. … [Read more...]

The End of the Road for Adams Football

 The end of the road came Friday night for Rochester Adams.  Zac Leimbach finished the night 10-for-15 passing for 192 yards and a pair to touchdowns in downing the Highlanders 14-13 for a Division 2 district title. Leimbach hit Ramon Alexander down the middle in the fourth quarter, and the senior used his track speed to take the 53-yard scoring toss for paydirt.
