Residents call Thursday meeting on SMART meters

Residents concerned about the recent and controversial installation of DTE smart meters in the Rochester area are invited to a meeting set for Thursday, February 16 at 6:30 p.m. Attorney Greg Meihn will discuss whether DTE had authority to install the meters without permission of the homeowner, potential health risks of the meters, whether the meters can be removed, and DTE’s response to some communities' request to wait until further information was gathered on the safety of the meters. The City of Rochester is hosting a meeting with representatives of DTE

In response to concerns from residents and business owners about problems with the electrical power supply in the city of Rochester, the city is hosting a meeting with representatives of DTE Energy on Monday, Oct. 3 at the Rochester Hills Library, 500 Olde Towne Road. DTE on the Hot Seat for Power Failures

Members of Rochester City Council made it clear this week they want detailed information from DTE Energy about reported voltage irregularities that have been plaguing several city businesses, including the library. Tornado Warnings and Power Outages in Rochester

On Thursday, August 19th the Tornado Warnings and Tornado Watches were sent out by the National Weather Service and Nixle in the Rochester area.  The picture attached was taken by Journalist Dan Stickradt of North Oakland Sports while attending a four-way football scrimmage at Oakland University in Rochester Hills.
