Ernest Hemingway’s time spent in Michigan will be discussed on Thursday, April 16 at 7 p.m. at the Rochester Hill’s Public Library. Since his birth in 1899, Ernest Hemingway spent seventeen summers in northern Michigan. Returning from ambulance service during the First World War, Hemingway spent two more summers in the Little Traverse Bay region—its forests and rivers inspiring some of his most celebrated short works of fiction.
