Avondale superintendent to discuss school finance

Avondale approves all-day kindergarten

Avondale will join a growing number of school districts in offering all-day kindergarten beginning next fall. The board of education approved the change at its February 6 meeting. Superintendent George Heitsch said the decision was prompted by financial incentives from the state and increased readiness for school of the children in the Avondale community. “We are excited by this change. Avondale to dedicate renamed Field House

Avondale School District will host a dedication ceremony for the newly named Chuck Nurek Field House on Thursday, March 1. The event is open to the public; alumni and former athletes are encouraged to attend.
