Good news. You can now cross the Livernois bridge when you come to it. After months of construction, Rochester and Rochester Hills residents can once again cross the Livernois bridge just south of Avon. At the ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday morning, Rochester Hills Mayor Bryan K. Barnett gave Dr. Seuss a run for his money by being funny before finally declaring the bridge open for business. Livernois Road to close July 9

It's official. The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), the Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC), the City of Rochester Hills and the City of Rochester announced that Livernois Road will close July 9 at the bridge over the Clinton River between Avon and Hamlin roads, when RCOC begins the replacement of the bridge.
